With RLTC it will cut an injection pulse if needed i.e. drop a cylinder to cut power. All Haltech can do is pull a certain amount of timing or boost, you really dont want to pull fuel since that would lean the engine out. Pulling boost could work, but what happens if you are spinning your tires but you are under your wastegate springs... You can't drop anymore boost so that wouldn't work. As far as how it works you tap into the stock abs sensors then create a table for the difference in wheel speed(Slip%) from front to back or side to side or however you want to set it up. Depending on how much slip is seen dictates on how much timing is pulled. Which works great in theory and for low HP cars. The only problem is when you try that setup on a Higher HP car the drop in timing won't affect the car as much as dropping a cylinder like the RLTC unit.
